We are ever in your thoughts... Ps. 40v.5,The Living Bible ; What is man, that thou are mindful of him? Heb.2v.6 KJV
God is thinking about you all the time. Once, during a long, tough, writing project, the Lord impressed me that He had a room in heaven where all He did was think about me and that book. I am sure He has a room in heaven where all He does is think about you. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His thoughts are full of power to create, and His thoughts always have a golden"BEHOLD" in them! Think about me, Jesus!
It is because of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3v.22-23
Like you, I went to sleep praying for the people in the storm, having - like my fellow Houstonians -, been in an intense storm before. This morning I wanted to turn to the Lord first before turning on the news. Aren't you glad His compassions fail not? No matter the storm! Whether physical, spiritual or even caused by our own sin, our God is moved by the feeling of our infirmities. Compassion stirred His heart at the tomb of Lazarus. And compassion stirs His heart as He stands outside your Tomb of Trouble or my messy Tomb of Trouble! LEE! MARY! BIANCA! LADONNA! COME FORTH! His mercy is new today. Great is His faithfulness!
The Lord gives the word of power; the women who bear and publish the news are a great host. Ps. 68v.11 (AMP)
The weather in Houston will cool down this weekend and as you begin to spend more time indoors, prepare to publish! Now you could can fruit or do embroidery in the longer, cozy fall and winter evenings. But I am sensing a new season approaching and it is high time to prepare to tell His story.
Many of you have books in your heart. Journals or notebooks full of beginnings that are still waiting to be continued. My Bible reading today in Jeremiah ( will Jeremiah ever be finished?) sent this signal:
Declare ye among the nations amd publish and set up a standard; publish and conceal not. Jeremiah 50 v.2 KJV
Plan your work and work your plan to finish writing (or to begin writing) and to get published. We are on the verge of a great Revival and Renaissance. Get ready to tell, Women!
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2v.21
Last night I gave the eulogy with a salvation invitation at the Memorial Service for a special friend. The long room filled with pews was packed full of people who loved the righteous, hard-working man we were honoring. There was a moment when I knew I was connecting to the hearts of the people and the door to Eternity swung wide open right there on Canal street near downtown Houston. One hand went up when I invited them to come to Jesus and make room in their hearts for the Saviour of their souls. It was a man's hand. His arm was around his little child. I could not see his face. Just the hand that made all of Heaven rejoice. Believe with me as you read this that God will get that man and his family to church, to nurturing Pastors and that the Holy Spirit will minister to him.
I hadn't planned to do it, but I also gave a call for the back-slidden. I saw a young woman's hand go up. Raising her hand took real courage because she was in the middle aisle right in front of the crowded doorway where the overflow people were standing. Her hair was wavy and dark auburn/brown. I couldn't see her face either. Believe with me that she is caught in Jesus' embrace, forgiven, restored and steadfast in the faith.
So to the girl who raised her hand - and to the brave man who did - and to the righteous and faithful man being laid to rest today - WELCOME HOME!
And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two (miles). Matt. 5v.41 AMP
I had always remembered this Bible verse as " if a friend forces you to go one mile." But it does not say "friend," it says "anyone." So my love was already lower in quantity than God's extravagant standard. The Bible does not to do this if you have time or if it is convenient. It just says " go with him." People were always asking Jesus to go with them to the bedside of a sick child or servant or just to come to their house. The miracles of the "sidetrack" became the Main Path when Jesus followed the Spirit's leading into the lives of people.
FATHER: Help me to give my life away like Jesus have His for mine!
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. 1Cor. 9v24
We are all running. Even our running around has purpose. And as our different paths intersect and we can run together for a stretch, we encourage each other to keep going, press on and don't quit.
I know the race many of you are running today and I am praying for fresh strength for you. Yesterday I made calls for help with a sudden ministry door that I want to run through. In calling for help, I learned of the heroics you are already pulling off. You are running well. I also heard how everyone is stretching a little more, taking more of the edge off what seemed "impossible" yesterday. One husband and wife are getting up to pray together at 4:00am. They both were already praying much separately, but God gave them a new strategy. Someone else I called is already back at work after a surgery that I know firsthand takes you longer than that to recuperate. Another person is doing the extra to finesse the 24-hr care that is already in place for an elderly parent in another state. We are not settling for less than the best for the least of these.
Father: I speak VICTORY for the runners in Life's race today. Overcomer's strength is their portion. A heart full of hope as they see the bend ahead or the hill ahead. New Way. New Day. All the Everlasting Way to the victor's crown!
First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 1Timothy 2v.1
I went to vote at 8 and there was already a line of people. What an extraordinary year - in the life of our nation - and in yours! Prayers are fueling the showdown. A showdown between Light and Darkness! As we pray, God's Love and Mercy extends to those we are for and those we are not for! Light will swallow up Darkness!
Father: Rule over our rulers! Overrule, O God! Reward your people for courageous obedience to Your Word of Promise!
But his older son was in the field: and as he returned and came near the house, he heard music and dancing. Luke 15v.25; And when Boaz had eaten and drunk and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of grain...Ruth 3v.7a
"Harvest Dance" is what I am hearing today. This is harvest time and the intensity of our faith-work in the field of our lives should not make us too tired, too ticked off, too fearful of failure to join in the dancing now. You know the story in Luke. The older brother got mad about the Harvest Dance to celebrate his younger brother's return from a life of sin. Start dancing! There is a party going for those with faith to see the bad boys and hard cases coming home! Start dancing! There is a party going for America as we believe our God will not fail to secure this nation as the world's Leader in the Harvest of Souls. Get your Boaz on! There is heap of grain as the Word that has dwelled in you so richly produces the life of your dreams! Dance!
For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. 1 Cor. 14v.33
The dictionary defines confusion as: to bewilder, to throw into disorder, to mix up; to mistake for another. I spent hours from early morning sorting out insurance and paycheck confusion caused by human error and demonic assistance. Even the people "helping" me straighten it out inadvertently "messed up" and gave me the wrong info. In the Old Testament "confusion" is a curse the righteous would speak over the ungodly enemies of God. The New Testament adds " dishonor" as another definitor of the word "confusion." The Lord went before me ( and the person I was helping) and made the crooked places straight. There was even a bonus at the end of the rainbow road!
Let me pray for you:
Go before Your people and make the crooked straight. Straighten out every entangled mess and be a bridge for every human failure that has touched their file and their account. Put them through to the right person. Undo the work of the evil one and favor, favor, favor your sons and daughters. I speak order over their business dealings in Jesus' name. Put a bonus at the end of their rainbow road today, Father! Thank You, Daddy God!
He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats or harps on a matter separates even close friends. Prov. 17v.10; ...love covers all transgressions. Prov.10v.12
How is your "love covering" doing these days? We live in a day when evil is being exposed and the devil's secret lies are coming to light. Hallelujah for that! Light is Swallowing up Darkness. The light of love from your heart is also overcoming darkness when you "cover" the swords and arrows sent to pierce your precious heart. Who sends them? the devil! Who does he use? Anybody, but especially those closest to us. How much does it hurt? Ouch! How hard is it to forgive and to cover your mouth ( while swallowing the fiery dart)? Hard, but grace abounds and out-abounds the other person's sin through your obedience.
...some men arose to debate and dispute with Stephen, but they were not able to resist the intelligence and the wisdom and the inspiration of the Spirit which and by Whom he spoke. Acts 6v.9-10
These same men went from debating Stephen to having him arrested and stoned to death! Our nation has another Presidential debate tonight. Pray our scripture of the day for yourself as well as you encounter "naysayers" and people who love to argue. We'll believe that the truth will set them free ( even if it makes them mad at first).
Father: We bind the work of witchcraft off the Presidential debates tonight and we thank You for the work of the Spirit of Truth having free course in the hearts of and ears of the American people!
(Speak) all the words I command thee to speak unto them: diminish not a word...Jeremiah 26v.2; If they be prophets and if the word of the Lord be with them, let them now make intercession to the Lord of hosts...Jeremiah 27v.18
If you are a mother, you are a prophet! "Calling the things that be not" from the time your child was in the womb. All of us should serve as prophets for our family members who don't know the Lord or who aren't living for God - and even on the job as our righteous decree turn the tide of the battles your company faces.
So diminish not a word"is for you in your assignment as prophet in your God-ordained position in life. The word "diminish" means " to lessen, to weaken, to reduce, decrease, degrade or abase. Sometimes we want to go easy on the person, but God is warning us not to weaken His power to actually help the person.
Our second scripture today is the other side of the coin. If you are a prophet, then PRAY. This is where extreme prophetic mercy and love are poured out. The same burning of the prophetic fire shut up in your bones should release INTERCESSION for the ones God has called you to speak to.
FATHER: I will speak and I will pray and not diminish one word!
He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame. Prov.10v.5
Do you know that time it is? It is Harvest Time. God is giving increase to His People. How can you catch up if you missed sowing seed? Catch on your tithes to your church. That is always your best investment for any assets God has given you. Take it out of your savings if you have to. (Open a Savings Account- that is your storehouse.) Catching up on your tithe to your church is the first step to prospering during Harvest. Working and giving are the next steps. What have you done with the new ideas and witty inventions God has given you? Get to work on them! There will be a Harvest from the labor you put your hands to. Of course, the watchfulness of the son who is NOT asleep in Harvest is connected to prayer and watchful expectation of faith for your harvest to come.
Wake up and join me tomorrow at 10:00am as I teach on the "Anointing to Gather." The Lord wants to release NOW anointing to crown this year with bounty. Ps. 65. Pray for us if you can't be there!
Open thy mouth wide and I will fill it. Ps. 81v.10b
Can God trust you to say it? At the office water-cooler, in the grocery check-out line - can you speak a word in season to the weary ( and wearisome) people all around us? The more you do open your mouth, the more schooled and trained and anointed your tongue will be. Like the ready writer in Psalm 45!
Tonight America has another debate. Prov.31 says:Open your mouth for the dumb, for the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.
Righteous decrees from your mouth and from America's leaders in Jesus' name!
Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward. Jeremiah 15v.6; So we will not go back from thee; quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. Turn us again... Ps. 80v.18-19a
Backward means "directed to the past or directed to the rear; in a way opposite of normal; behind in learning or progress." It could be a habit or an old style that you had that always left people feeling worse after talking with you! Don't go back! It could be an expectation of dread over your life, or your job or the coming elections. Watch it! The Spirit of God, the Quickener, wants to revive you. Live Up high in the Spirit and Go forward!
Our only hope!...Why are you acting like a tourist, taking in the sights, here today and gone tomorrow? Jeremiah 14v.8, The Message Bible
Is Jesus a tourist in your life? He is taking in the sights of things you made up (& sometimes messed up!) without His help. Do you feel like the Lord is "here today and gone tomorrow" when you manage to find some time to pray?
Remember the road to Emmaus in Luke 24. Jesus disguised Himself as a tourist and walked on the same road of disappointment with his disciples after the Cruxificion. As He spoke truth, their hearts burned within them.
Then they drew near the village to which they were going and Jesus acted as if He would go further. But they urged him and insisted, saying to Him, "Remain with us." So He went in to stay with them. Luke 24v.29
The steps of a good man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in His way and He busies Himself with every step. Ps. 37:23 (AMP)
Rushing home this morning from an emergency dental visit to re-patch a patched tooth this morning, I remembered something Mom needed. On the way out of that store, I turned back to get a quick coffee and was told I would have to go stand in another line to pay for it. I almost said "Forget it," but went to get in the long-looking line. Lo and behold there were four people in line from my church, including one of the Pastor's daughters. As she was about to check out, my heart remembered the mercy my dentist had shown me and how he didn't charge me. "Let me pay for yours," I found myself saying. She declined, but we chatted about church and visited for a minute.
What was the purpose of all those steps this morning? Two young women I had prayed for were brought into my path along the way. My generous Christian dentist shared about his new ministry - working in Children's church and passing the job interview of jumping jacks and Simon says! Was it all just to see God's hand on them?
For you today and this week, I decree your steps are ordered by the Lord. No missteps.
Take a step and join me Saturday for The Anointing to Gather, my monthly Bible study at HBU's Mabee Theater, Oct 13 from 10:00am to 12 noon at HBU, 7502 Fondren, Houston 77074! It is FREE and you are cordially invited!
When I set my affection on a really cute blouse, I will drive from Pearland to Sugar Land to the Galleria to get it. There is something about "setting the heart" that will make a way where there is no way! The dictionary describes this as " to fix with settled purpose." So what about the things above? The more I pray the more I want to pray and conversely, the less I pray, the less I want to pray. My flesh has to be trained to maintain my affection on the things above. Going to church and being with other Christians helps, of course. But the real power comes from my will!
Father: Strengthen our will to set our hearts and minds on our Highest Life this weekend!
For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one and setteth up another. Ps. 75v.6
Oh, Blessed change! Let me pray for you to be fruitful in every good work today. For success for you as you rise above where you have been. And success for you as you even rise above others today.
Father: I thank you for creative solutions to impossible problems today. For knots on the job at home or school to be unravelled as you promote your Daniels and your Josephs and bring them to the center of attention. Open our ears to hear heaven's secret instructions for success today!
Now the serpent was more crafty than any beasts of the field...and he said to the woman,"Indeed, has God said, "You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?" Genesis 3v.1; And Agrippa replied to Paul, "In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian." Acts 26v.28
Tonight there is a Great Debate between the two Presidential candidates. The Bible is full of Great Debates. In the two examples I have given for our scriptures of today, we see Eve losing her debate with the devil. And then we see King Agrippa almost winning the greatest debate of all - the one over our soul's Eternal Destiny.
I have to stop the devil from debating with me over his poor assessment of how I look or what I have done. The accuser of the brethren loves to debate. Turn the TV inside your head off. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly and let His Word always win the Great Debate.
Father: Bless the American people to listen wisely and to hear Your voice in the Great Debates of this day!
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joyful shouting. Ps. 126v.5
Your tears are your harvest's richest irrigation after your tithe and your obedient labor have been planted in the land of your life. I'm hearing about the tears this morning. God is saying they are a part of your enlargement. Tears help stretch your tent pegs. Tears of humility, of surrender, of throwing yourself on His Unfailing Word make your position bigger. Tears are in the chemistry of your reward.
FATHER: You have seen my tears. Hear my shout of FAITH today!
...and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. Isa. 64v.22 (KJV); for my people will long enjoy their hard-won gains. (The Living Bible)
The Bible teaches us to observe, praise and enjoy the Lord's handiwork - this universe He created so wondrously. But the Word of God also reveals the Father's heart for the labor we put our hands to. As we move into the harvest season of the year, let us remind ourselves of God's passionate involvement with our increase. Are you smarter this year than last year? Are you richer? Are you stronger this year than last year? Because God is in the equation, the fruit of your labor is more than adding up all your pay stubs. There has also been "a supply of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ" liberally, generously poured over your life's portion this year. Work, win and enjoy it. Our wins and the joy over them are multiplied as we share them.
FATHER: Thank you for blessing me to enjoy my handiwork today!
First fruits blessings for you this week!
LEE'S WORD FOR TODAY 1/6/17
SEPARATE FROM PAST BAGGAGE, DIVORCE OLD SIN, MARRY NEW FUTURE IN CHRIST!
Lee's Word for Today 1/6/17
from past baggage
NEW FUTURE IN CHRIST!
And Lot also, which went with Abraham, had flocks and herds and tents. And the land was not able to bear them, for their substance was great...And Abraham said,
"Lot, separate thyself, I pray thee, from me." Genesis 13v.5; ...forgetting what lies behind, straining for what lies ahead. Phil.3v.13
You can't take it with you. "It" means your (unfruitful) way of thinking, your old " it ain't working" way of working. Abraham's nephew was a dear relative, they had so much in common, so many sweet or tough memories shared. How long before we get God saying, "Separate from your old way. There is a new way."
As always with God, you must obey the first step (separate, leave the baggage, drop it,) before the land under your foot's path for the 2nd step appears.
And the Lord said unto to Abraham AFTER that Lot was separated from him:
Lift up now thine eyes from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward. For all the land that thou seetst, to thee will I give it...v.14-17
FATHER: Show me Your new way today! I PRESS TOWARD THE PRIZE!
Love you guys more than you know,
Will you keep silent at this time, Queen Esther? Now that you have prevailed before the King and your petition for deliverance for you and your nation from the evil Haman Hillary, will you decree, reign and use your authority? Not many days hence, about 30, the inauguration of the President God chose and we died for (died to pizza and blueberry pancakes, died to distractions to cry out, some died to fear of voting Republican for the 1st time!)) will be inaugurated.
Though the media is attempting to spread dishonor and rebellion, your intercession for FULL MORDECAI HONOR will crown the event and will also REAP HONOR for you. The honor you intercede for in these 30 days to January 21 is the degree of honor that will (or won't) come to you in the New Year. God is teaching us to reign in this extraordinary season, this amazing Last Days Age. Can you honor a husband if God gave you one, a boss, a mother-in-law, can you honor the Office of the President or the Plan of God? Skimping on honor at this time, will skimp on the Glory of God!
When God's choice is fully honored, - as Mordecai was - God's reward is FULLY given! God gave the people of the nation light ( a new dawn of hope) and gladness and joy and honor. The enemies of the Kingdom were destroyed. Esther 8v.16 Victory is indeed sweet!
....And the king said to Haman/Hillary, what shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?...Haman answered... Let royal apparel be brought which the king has worn(NOTE: THE ANOINTING)
And the horse which the king has ridden
(NOTE: same as David's instructions for Solomon's inaugurations for David's mule to be ridden)and a royal crown be set upon his head.
Let the apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes. Let him array the man (NOTE: divine order- Mordecai was not putting king's robe on himself- but nobility and established order robing him) whom the king delights to honor and conduct him on horseback through the open square of the city(NOTE: We need to pray for the city- the sea of people to OPEN to Trump and not resist him whom Our king has appointed.)Esther 6v.6-9
The King's instructions in Esther 6v.10 Do so to Mordecai the Jew (Make it happen).
Leave out nothing that you have spoken. (Don't mess this up.)
We need a full Mordecai inauguration. Esther (the church) has prevailed before the King.We won. We Arise, We Shine for Our light has come!
